Ezekiel 35:10

In Roy’s Blog this morning, he used the scripture Ezekiel 35:10  “It will come about on that day, that thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil plan.”

I couldn’t help but think how appropriate this verse is today. How many men have abused children, even their own children. How many mothers have drowned their children. On the news recently was the woman that set herself on fire and ended up killing her two daughters. So many evil plans that come into the mind today, and there is no conscience no consciousness of the evil.

I’ve stated many times in the last ten years that I believe there is a demonic influence rampant in our society. Never have I seen or heard the kind of evil that is happening in our country today. The hate, the language, the total lack of respect–for our country, our flag, our President, and the person and property of those around us.

2 Timothy 3:1-4  “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God…”

Sound familiar? We’ve allowed the few to push God out of our schools and our communities. Many churches have allowed the world to overshadow the importance of God. The last bastion of hope for your child and our country is you. Teach your children right from wrong. Don’t wait for them to decide what they want. It will be too late. You have to instill those values from the time they take their first steps in this world. If you are unsure how to do this there is a Book. It’s called the Bible. It is the Word of God. Two good books to start with are Proverbs and Titus. Titus is a very short book, but is filled with information on how to be a good man, a man worthy of respect, one whose life reflects God to all around him.

I don’t want to sound preachy, but I’ve just felt this needed to be said. If you watch the news, read a paper, a magazine, or listen to the radio you will see and hear things that would have made your parents or grandparents blush. “Times have changed” you say. God hasn’t changed. He still condemns foul language, lack of self-control, disrespect, and disobedience.
