Luke 21:24 “Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”
The name Jerusalem occurs 806 times in the Bible. Jerusalem is the only place on earth called “the City of God”. She is at the center of God’s prophetic clock, and the focus of the world’s turmoil and aspirations. Jerusalem has been under Israel’s rule since 1967. Today, she is the capital of the proud Jewish people and has been recently acknowledged as their capital by the United States.
The Temple Mount is in Jerusalem and, because it has religious and historical implications to the Jewish people and the Muslim living nearby, it has been the cause of major conflict for centuries.
Jerusalem is where Solomon built the first temple. Jerusalem is where Jesus was crucified. It has a varied and colorful history. Today it is a thriving city with a lot of political power.
The Lord declares, “In that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples.”
The armies of Syria, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and Hezbollah are lining up for the battle for Jerusalem and the Golan Heights area. Russia is making deals with China. Syria is making deals with Russia. Turkey is making deals with whoever.
The countries are desperate for power and resources. They see Israel as having what they need. What they don’t see is the God who will protect Israel in the battle to come.
