Roy’s Blog: “God’s Goodness”

https://bphowlett.com/2018/10/06/roys-blog-gods-goodness

Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.”

Obviously, David, who said this, had disappointments in life. Not everything went well or as planned. He had some very bad days. His son by Bathsheba died. His other son Absalom turned on him, and he spent years hiding in caves fearing for his life.

But here he is saying only goodness will follow these bad days. For a child of the King, good things will always come out of whatever happens to us. Often it’s hard to see God’s goodness when you are going through a tragedy. We can know He is working out His plan for good. It may be for us or it may be for someone else, but good will come.
