Psalm 42:6 “O my God, my soul is in despair within me; therefore I remember You…”
These cold wet days foster despair, depression, and loneliness. Many people feel crushed by dreams unfulfilled or gone awry. Some relive guilt from long ago memories. Instead of hope in the Lord and the joy He brings today, we focus on the should haves, could haves, or wish we had.
True joy comes when we remember the forgiveness of the Lord for our failures and mistakes. True joy comes when we remember it does not matter how dark the day is, the Lord is with us through the valleys of life. Remember to hope in the Lord for He is our shield and protector. He will never leave us or forsake us.
Psalm 30:5 “…weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
