Psalm 142:5 “…You are my refuge.”
Psalm 91:2 “I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'”
It seems today everywhere is like a pot simmering on a stove, ready to boil over. whether it’s the conflict in the Middle East between Israel and the coalition of Iran, Turkey, and Russia on their norther border, or the unrest in Europe. France has political strife, with protesters storming the streets. Venezuela is ready to implode from the inside.
The United States is not immune from troubles. It too, is a simmering pot, ready to boil over. It has its political strife, moral strife, and internal struggles. These things can cause us to be troubled for ourselves, our families, and for our country’s future.
I’m so thankful we have a fortress in Jesus Christ, He said “I will never leave you or forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
No matter how hot the pot gets, whether it’s political or personal, He is our protector. No matter the day or the hour He is there, our shelter from the trials.
