Roy’s Blog: “I Can’t Believe It”

2 Timothy 3:1 “In the last days difficult times will come.”

Going to the store is getting more difficult all the time. They are changing over from people to check you out to check yourself out. Society is moving us from cash and checks to debit cards and phone scans. It will eventually be a chip somewhere on you. How will you buy groceries, pay bills, get into your computer at work unless you bow down and take the chip. Hopefully we will be out of here before that time comes, but it’s near. One place I went to already said this is the last year they will take checks.

It’s getting harder and harder to find your favorite cereal or favorite brand of corn or beans. They’ve changed to “store brands”. Don’t look too long and block the aisle. You can get ugly looks from others wanting to hurry and move on. Whatever you do, when you check out don’t ask anything like, “Please sub-total these items”. They have no idea what that means. If a checker doesn’t have a register that does it for them, don’t give them something other than the exact amount of cash. Most can’t make change. These last days can be very trying at times.

Pray for our children who will have to deal with many of these things without any knowledge of the Bible to guide them.

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
