Job 26:10 “He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.”
Can you remember how excited you were when in just a little longer you would be ten years old, and then (oh the joy) just a few years more and you hit that thirteen mark. Then a few more years and you would be that magic sixteen. It seemed forever before that next anticipated number–eighteen, then twenty-one, with all of their joys and privileges just over the horizon.
It’s hard to imagine how excited the children of Israel were at the foot of Mt. Sinai, to stand before the Lord. And yet, they were filled with fear, all of their hopes and dreams just over the horizon.
Just over the horizon the best is yet to come.
Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.”
