Psalm 105:5 “Remember His wonders which He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced.”
We have things we are reminded to remember. “Remember the Alamo. Remember the Holocaust, Pearl Harbor, and 9-11-2001.” We need to remember some things to honor those involved. Some happenings we want to remember so we won’t repeat them, or we need to watch out for the same things that caused them.
Every day I hear someone remembering something the Lord has done for them. I am reminded every day of things the Lord has done for me. I was born in America. Land of the free and home of the brave. It is a true statement, at least for now. The greatness of all God has done for us is beyond words. Most people would trade places with us any day. We have been blessed with freedoms and abundance more than most people in any other country could imagine.
We don’t have to look long and hard to find medical treatment, or a grocery store (filled with many choices). There’s usually a church on every corner and you are free to make your choice and go where you want. You can find a Bible in any store that sells books, and you are free to buy it–and read it.
If we forget all God has blessed us with and all the wonders He has performed in our lives, we could lose it all in just a few years. We’ve allowed God to be taken out of our schools and our workplaces. Will our homes be next?
Remember what God has done for you.
