Titus 2:12,13 “…In this present age…we are looking for the blessed hope and the appearing in glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.”
Our generation has seen amazing things happen. From putting a man on the moon to transplanting hearts, lungs, and kidneys to save lives, we have seen the miraculous. There are other miracles that are going on every day. We may not see them, or recognize them, but they are taking place.
In our generation, we’ve seen the “budding of the fig tree” the Bible talks about. That happened in 1948 when Israel became a nation again. This is Israel’s 70th year since that time. The United States has acknowledged Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and we have moved our embassy to Jerusalem. We have closed the consulate in Jerusalem that served the Palestinian interests.
Now, we have officially declared the Golan Heights as “Israel controlled territory” not “occupied territory.” Also, we no longer refer to the West Bank and Gaza Strip as “occupied” or “under occupation.”
All these things are setting the stage for the end times. Few people want to think about the “end times”, but they are happening all the same. Nations are lining up with the “end times prophesies. Our monetary system is lining up with the end times. If you don’t see it, you haven’t been to Wal-Mart lately, or another store that tells you–we don’t take cash.
Even with all this, we are blessed to live in this time, to see the fulfillment of these prophesies. They draw us closer to the God who loves us.
