Philippians 4:12 “I have learned the secret of living in every situation.”
If there ever was a generation in need of the secret of contentment, it is this one.
Such people are, “Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:7 (NASB)
In our society today people are constantly seeking the newest, latest, greatest spiritual teaching. They are seeking a “new life”, but with all the old ways of living. They don’t want to change or give up what’s familiar. It’s like that old pair of jeans or boots. They are worn out, have holes, but they are comfortable.
Paul knew, and we must know, that our lives have to be transformed, born again. You can’t look just like you did. Your life will be different. All things must be new. Because you have a different view of life, change will come from the inside, but will show on the outside.
The secret of contentment doesn’t come from things but from one person–Jesus Christ.
