Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
I used to spend so much time in font of the mirror working to get my hair “just right”. Many times I would think I had it, then I’d see a place sticking up wrong and I’d start all over. I look back over those years and think, what a waste of time. I no longer have that problem. No hair-no problem.
This is a good illustration of our lives. We spend so much time at the broad gate worrying over worldly things, and overlook the the narrow gate and the most important decisions of our lives. Which way? There is only one way that leads to life.
Our lives are filled with decisions. Most are trivial and insignificant, while others are essential and life changing. The most critical decision we will ever make is about Jesus Christ. He is the only way.
