In John 10:10b (NLT) Jesus said, “My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.”
Jesus says, “I want you to live a fulfilling life, a life with vitality and energy.” If that’s true, why don’t most people today enjoy life?
So many people live their lives like a helium balloon. They go up and away, then deflate overnight. A lot of people start out full of energy, filled with excitement, then they fizzle. They lose that energy and excitement they had when they started out. Their dreams shrink. What happened?
There are a lot of things that can put your fire out, pull the vim and vigor you once had out of your life. The reason could be physical, mental, or spiritual, but I’ve noticed one that seems to be common in life. They have no clear purpose.
When you forget, or don’t know, God’s purpose for your life, you’re going to drift like that helium balloon, or like a boat without a rudder. You’ll sway which ever way the wind blows. A recent poll in the United Kingdom, showed that nine out of ten 16-29 year-olds felt they had no purpose in life.
Deuteronomy 8:3 (NLT) “Real life comes by feeding on every word of God.”
