I Corinthians 15:51-53 “Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
Paul was given the task of unveiling the great mystery of the rapture. What a marvelous privilege to proclaim the “hope” for all believers in Jesus Christ. No longer to live in darkness, but to live in hope.
Every time I visit a hospital and see the faces of patients and their families who look for hope, I’m reminded of the promised hope that is in Christ Jesus. Not a temporary hope, but the certain coming of the Lord , and the rapture (harpazo) of those who have died in the Lord. We’ll be changed, caught up to be with Him forever. What a mystery–revealed to us today!
