The coming of the Lord will be like this: Matthew 24:40 “There will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.”
When Jesus came on the scene A little over two thousand years ago, the religious Jews knew it was the prophetic time for the Messiah. They had studied the prophesies of Daniel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and others. When Herod asked the religious leaders where the Messiah was to be born, they inquired of the Magi. The Magi told them, “Bethlehem of Judea.” But, none of the religious leaders traveled with the Magi to see Him. With all the fulfilled prophesy, they still didn’t put aside their daily schedule to worship Jesus.
Mankind hasn’t changed much. With all the fulfilled prophesy we see today, most can’t put aside their own concerns and desires to worship the Messiah who came, died on the cross for us, rose again, and will be coming back. Their actions cry out, “Not now. I’m Busy! Come later, at a better time.”
