Matthew 11:8 “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
It’s an ironic habit of man that when we lose our way or get stressed out, we double our speed.
It’s like the air force pilot during World War II, flying a training mission out over the Atlantic. He was lost. When he radioed in they asked him, “Where are you headed?” He said, “I don’t know, but I’m making record time!”
Prayer relieves our stress by giving us a source of direction. When we’re stressed out, we come to a point where we don’t know what direction to go next. The greatest single cause of stress in your life is when you try to live your life apart from Jesus Christ. Allow Him to carry your burdens. Make Him the center of your life and you will have balance.
I’m so glad I can pour out my heartaches and troubles to the Lord. Glad that I can rest in His faithful arms.
