2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”
Does it feel like the world is spinning out of control? It does to me.
I read yesterday that again, after students were tested across the country, test scores plummeted to new lows. Even though we spend more money per student than any other nation, we can’t keep up. The government entities don’t understand that more money is not going to fix the problem. More government interference will definitely not fix anything. They have pushed any parental control completely out of the school system. We’ve allowed certain government agencies too much control, and that control reaches even into our homes.
The home is the problem. We have pushed God out and allowed the world to take over. Few children are being raised by their natural parents in a loving, stable home where Jesus is Lord. They don’t feel secure at home. They don’t feel secure at school. How can a child do his best under those circumstances?
We make sure they have all the sports, and material things, but are not concerned about their spiritual life and emotional health. The answer? Jesus Christ. He is our security when all else seems impossible to deal with. He is the solid rock we can lean on when the the world seems to spin out of control.
Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV) “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”
